Have you ever thought about how chaotic a wedding day can be? From start to finish, a wedding day is full of timelines, photos, fun and celebration. When it comes to a wedding day and photographing the important things, Arkansas Bride portraits that are done in advance can help lessen stress on a wedding day. Below are some reasons why I think having a bridal portrait before is a good idea.
Practice for the wedding day
A bridal session allows the bride and I to work together and get to know each other before the wedding day. This will enable me to understand the bride’s preferences, poses, and angles that work best for her. Therefore, this results in better photos on the wedding day.
Time to capture details
On the wedding day, there is usually limited time to capture all the details of the bride’s dress, shoes, and accessories. As the photographer, a bridal session allows me to take my time and capture all the details of the bride’s attire.

Unlike the wedding day, the location for the bridal session can be flexible. The bride and I can choose a location that best fits the bride’s style and personality. When it comes to photographing Arkansas brides, there are many natural and beautiful places in the state that compliment any bride.

In addition to capturing details, when having a bridal session, the bride can take some of the pressure off of the wedding day. With the bridal portraits already taken care of, the bride can relax and enjoy the day without worrying about capturing all the necessary shots.
A Chance To Create Stunning Portraits
Furthermore, A bridal session allows me to focus solely on the bride, showcasing her beauty and personality. With this, it is an excellent time for the bride’s hair and makeup artist to do a full-day dress rehearsal. As a result, the bride is able to see how her she will look on her wedding day. Therefore, this gives a chance for changes to be made in advanced.
Ability to work with other vendors
Sometimes, when doing bridal portraits, I can work with other vendors in a more relaxed setting, and the bride also gets to have fun meeting people that could potentially become a vendor for her wedding. In a recent bridal portrait session at C&C by the Lake, I captured an Arkansas bride and had fun with Bunny Hop Central Ark who specializes in renting out a bounce house and ball pit for weddings where guests can jump, relax and have fun. This was such a fun time!
Overall, a bridal session is a great opportunity for the bride and I to work together, capture beautiful portraits, and reduce stress on the wedding day.
